What the app does

HoldoverLive is an advisory flight-operations companion for pilots and dispatchers:

Full FAA Holdover Time (HOT) tables for Type I/II/III/IV fluids — fully offline.
Live Activity countdown on the Lock Screen / Dynamic Island after fluid application.
METAR & SNOWTAM decode, applied straight to the tables.
NOTAM Live: worldwide NOTAM briefing by ICAO code, decoded and colour-coded.

Common questions

The weather / NOTAM fetch shows nothing. Check the ICAO code (e.g. LTFM, KJFK) and your internet connection. The app queries public NOAA and FAA services, which are occasionally unavailable — try again shortly. The holdover tables themselves work fully offline.

The Lock-Screen countdown does not appear. Make sure Live Activities are allowed: iOS Settings → HoldoverLive → Live Activities. Then start the timer and lock the phone.

Are the holdover times official? No. HoldoverLive is an unofficial planning aid, not an official source of aeronautical information. Always verify against the official FAA / manufacturer holdover tables and your operator’s procedures. When in doubt, de-ice again.
