Data we collect
None. The app has no accounts, no login, no analytics SDKs, no advertising and no tracking. We do not collect names, e-mails, contacts, device identifiers or usage analytics.
Data stored on your device
Anything you enter — an aerodrome ICAO code, a pasted METAR/SNOWTAM, timer state,
or your acceptance of the in-app disclaimer — is stored only locally on your device
and is removed when you delete the app.
Network requests
When you use the online fetch features, the app sends only the airport code you type to public aviation-data services:
- NOAA Aviation Weather Center (aviationweather.gov) — METAR / SNOWTAM.
- FAA NOTAM Search (notams.aim.faa.gov) — NOTAMs.
No personal information is sent. These are public government sources with their own terms. The app never sends your data to us or to any third party for advertising or profiling.
Location (optional)
If you tap the 📍 nearest-aerodrome button, the app asks iOS for a one-shot, when-in-use location fix, uses it once to find the closest METAR-reporting aerodrome, and discards it. Location is never stored and never transmitted to us or anyone else. The app works fully without location permission.
Children
HoldoverLive is a professional reference tool for flight crews and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new “last updated” date. The full FlightLimits privacy policy covering all our apps is at flightlimits.com/privacy-policy.
